Cook: More Moviement Towards Dems

by: RandySF

Thu Oct 02, 2008 at 2:31 PM EDT

I just received a series of email alerts from the Cook Political Report. They read as follows.
RandySF :: Cook: More Moviement Towards Dems
KY-SEN: Likely Republican to Lean Republican
PA-03: Lean Republican to Toss-up
NM-02: Lean Republican to Toss-up
MI-09: Lean Republican to Toss-up
KY-02: Likely Republican to Lean Republican
FL-21: Lean Republican to Toss-up

Seems to me that the biggest news in this batch come from KY-SEN, NM-02 and MI-09.

Bonus: Cook moved FL-PRES, NC-PRES and IN-PRES from Lean Republican to Toss-up.

Moved PA-03, NM-02, and MI-09 to Tossup earlier in the day (write-up to follow).

We also moved KY-02 to Lean R last week.

All moves make sense to me
Three tossups in FL... my dreams are coming true.  And I also consider FL-25 on the fence between tossup and leans R.

haha
I bet... and with any luck, more to follow! I just wish we could get at least ONE in California. Stupid Gerrymandering! I can't stand it!

Ya both CA and FL were gerrymanders
But CA was an incumbent protections map while FL was a power grab.  The power grab maps can be easy to bust up as we've seen in PA and may see this year in OH, FL and MI.

i haven't yet given up hope on CA-46
and I think CA-04 is going from lean R to tossup.

Also, McClintock can take his carpetbag and shove it.

party: Democratic, ideology: moderate, district: CT-01

I mentioned the Pres. Race moves in a comment yesterday
You missed Iowa being moved from Toss Up to Lean Dem.

Also, FL-Pres and NC-Pres were switched from Toss Up to Lean R within the last two weeks.  Cook made a silly move.

OT: Speaking of movement towards Dems...
I wonder how Franken's new ad will go over in MN.
